RLS Reopening Plan

Operating Assumptions

The coronavirus remains with us and Redeemer Lutheran School will likely not return to normalcy until there is a vaccine or a cure. A return to school will look different. Redeemer Lutheran families, students and staff will need to be flexible and nimble, understanding that the priority of protecting the health of our students may require changes in procedures, sometimes with minimal notice.

As with any plan, if the situation changes or additional recommendations are made the plan may be changed or adapted to ensure the protection of our students and staff.

Guiding Principles

School will look different than it did before March 16, 2020. To best protect the health of and safety of our students, RLS will strive to abide by recommendations from the Department of Health and other knowledgeable governmental agencies. Whatever the circumstances, we remain committed to providing a loving Christian environment which supports the Whole Child.

While it is our goal to prepare and plan as best as we possibly can, all plans are subject to change based on government, CDC, and Health Department recommendations. Please note situations may arise where adjustments must be made quickly, as such communication is key and families are asked to regularly monitor email and phone messages.

We ask that you continue to pray for students, families, and staff as we learn and grow together during this time of uncertainty and trial. There will be much to learn and opportunities to share and demonstrate our faith in Jesus, but for sure it will be a test of that faith. However, the Lord has demonstrated his strength over earthly disasters many times before and will again. Of that we can be sure.

"Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." - Psalm 124:8
