RLHS operates on trimesters; three 12 week periods with mid-term evaluations.

Earn College Credits while in High School

High school students are able to take two online courses each year. RLS has partnered with Orange Lutheran High School in California to offer high school courses to our students. These courses fill elective requirements needed for graduation. For our advanced learners, RLS has partnered with accredited Christian universities, and offer a wide selection of online courses eligible for both college and high school credit. Students can choose the courses they want to take based on their interest and ability level and receive both high school and college credit. Qualified students can earn 15 or more college credits while they are in high school!

Other Offerings

  • Student council – fundraisers for charities, Dance-A-Thon, Faculty/Lady Rams basketball game, Parents Day Out, Red Cross babysitting training
  • Yearly mission trips – local and out of state depending on the need
  • Job shadowing – students will have an opportunity to shadow career professionals gaining insight for the future choices they will make
  • Athletics (limited but growing) – we are partnering with other Christian schools in the area to develop an athletic program. We are currently a member of the WPIAL for Jr. High girls and boys basketball, and will join the Greater Pittsburgh Christian Athletic League for our 5th – 8th graders to compete in soccer. We hope to join the SouthWestern Christian Athletic League for competition in high school sports.
